Tripleplas Machinery Sales Ltd was formed in September 1970 to cover UK Sales of U.C.P.M Blow Moulding Machinery and Cerans Extrusion Dies, by Ralph Heddon a Polymer Chemist who had worked for 10 years in processing plastics, primarily PVC Extrusion & Injection Moulding. The other founder was Derek Stride, a Tool & Mould Designer and qualified Toolmaker.

U.C.P.M in Italy, were soon taken over by Plastifin, a group heavily involved in the Sale & Worldwide distribution of a wide range of Italian Plastic Processing Machinery and Tripleplas were offered the opportunity of representing them in the UK on a selected number of these product lines; Injection Moulding Machines, Extrusion, Bag Making & Rotary Injection Moulding Machines.

In 1973 Tripleplas Tools Ltd was formed and rapid progress was made in supplying package deals of Injection Moulding machines and Moulds, with Tripleplas Tools Ltd building a well equipped Toolroom to supply the Tools to suit its range of Plastijet Injection Moulding machines, which were manufactured by the Italian Plastifin Group.

The same type of package deal was used in conjunction with the Presma Rotary Injection Moulding machines and this resulted in a large number of Machines & Tools being supplied to the Shoe, Brush & Furniture Industries.

Presma together with Maris (Twin Screw Extruders) are now independantly represented by Tripleplas Machinery Sales Ltd, as are Caccia (Rotational Moulding Machines), & BD Plast (Screen Changers), while De-Bernardi Bag Making & Plastiblow Blow Moulding machines, from Plastifin, make up the current range of Plastic prcocessing machinery represented by Tripleplas Machinery Sales Ltd in the UK
