| Tripleplas
Machinery Sales Ltd was formed in September 1970 to cover UK Sales
of U.C.P.M Blow Moulding Machinery and Cerans Extrusion Dies, by Ralph
Heddon a Polymer Chemist who had worked for 10 years in processing
plastics, primarily PVC Extrusion & Injection Moulding. The other
founder was Derek Stride, a Tool & Mould Designer and qualified
Toolmaker.
U.C.P.M
in Italy, were soon taken over by Plastifin, a group heavily involved
in the Sale & Worldwide distribution of a wide range of Italian
Plastic Processing Machinery and Tripleplas were offered the opportunity
of representing them in the UK on a selected number of these product
lines; Injection Moulding Machines, Extrusion, Bag Making &
Rotary Injection Moulding Machines.
In 1973 Tripleplas Tools Ltd was formed and rapid progress was made
in supplying package deals of Injection Moulding machines and Moulds,
with Tripleplas Tools Ltd building a well equipped Toolroom to supply
the Tools to suit its range of Plastijet Injection Moulding machines,
which were manufactured by the Italian Plastifin Group.
The
same type of package deal was used in conjunction with the Presma
Rotary Injection Moulding machines and this resulted in a large
number of Machines & Tools being supplied to the Shoe, Brush
& Furniture Industries.
Presma
together with Maris (Twin Screw Extruders) are now independantly
represented by Tripleplas Machinery Sales Ltd, as are Caccia (Rotational
Moulding Machines), & BD Plast (Screen Changers), while De-Bernardi
Bag Making & Plastiblow Blow Moulding machines, from Plastifin,
make up the current range of Plastic prcocessing machinery represented
by Tripleplas Machinery Sales Ltd in the UK |
